Brewer: Brasseurs du Monde

Brewed in: Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec

Found: Dépanneur in Wakefield, Québec

I found this beer on the shelves of a Dépanneur in Wakefield, Québec.  I wish I could remembered the name, because they had a great craft-beer selection. Wakefield’s pretty small though, and it’s right on the main street, so it’s not too hard to find.

I picked this brew because I’ve really enjoyed a few beers from Brasseurs du Monde. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this one as good.  This beer pours a light-golden colour, a little hazy.  There isn’t much head.  Also not much to smell, maybe some faint fruit scents.  The taste is fairly plain, not really a lot going on at all. No real hop flavours to speak of, but lots of carbonation.

The bottom line is that this beer is decent, but not great. It’d be fine on a hot summer day, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink it again.
